Has Hilscher Systems experienced any instances of individual cabinet shutdowns or entire system shutdowns due to the online batch replacement of safety gates? Or have there been shutdowns as a result of the safety gates failing?
Is it possible that the power supply shuts down due to a short circuit in the safety barrier’s power supply?
It shouldn’t exist; one fuse is shared among every eight safety barriers, so at most just one fuse is needed. As long as there’s no chain reaction, there are basically no problems
In principle, it will not have an impact, unless the signal on the safety barrier is part of the interlock condition.
The safety barriers are powered using a centralized power supply system similar to that of P+F backplanes; if the power supply experiences a short circuit, the safety barriers in that row will stop functioning. If safety barriers involved in interlocking are affected, the machine will come to a stop.
Yes, in one of CNPC’s plants, the units use a P+F bottom plate for centralized power supply; a power failure caused one of the safety barriers to be damaged, which led to the shutdown of the unit.
