150 pounds corresponds to PN20; you have designed it for 1.65 Mpa. Generally, such a low value isn’t used – at least 1.5 times that amount is required. Equipment is also subjected to pressure tests at 1.5 times the working pressure, so for safety reasons, don’t skimp on this expense
Not applicable. According to HG/T20615, the maximum allowable operating pressure for this material at this design temperature is 1.694 MPa
Firstly, the material of the valve body is WCB; however, the material of the flange is not necessarily also WCB. Secondly, you can refer to the standards for steel pipe flanges specified in HG/T-20592-20635 – the section on pressure-temperature ratings there indicates the maximum pressure that can be tolerated for each temperature range. To add to what was said above, if a 316SS flange is used in temperatures below 150°C, the maximum pressure it can withstand at PN20 is 1.48 MPa, which still does not meet the requirements.
US standard 150LB is roughly equivalent to Chinese standard 20-kilogram grade; it’s not applicable
Are the valve body and flange made of different materials? ?
