What current can a cable withstand for a short period of time?

For a 185-square-meter cable-connected setup, is it possible to start a 1MW asynchronous generator? There is soft starting, and normal operation ensures that the current is kept at 600A. What’s a concern now is whether the cables can withstand the stress during the startup process I hope the experts here can help me out. Thank you! PS: For a 185 dual-unit unit, a normal rating of around 900A should be fine.

Starting is no problem, but the two 185 units are a bit too small; the high-voltage cables need to be short-circuited for thermal stability and voltage drop verification
