Our plant has a double-flange level gauge installed. The temperature on the positive pressure side is around 180 degrees Celsius, while the temperature on the negative pressure side is 30 degrees Celsius. When it rains, the level indication keeps dropping, falling from 50% to 20% within two minutes. Today we conducted an experiment: we poured water on the positive pressure side, and the level dropped sharply; as the temperature increased, the level gradually returned to its original value. What could be the reason for this? Changing to a double-flange version gives the same result
Are capillaries provided on both sides, or is it installed directly on the positive pressure side?
If both sides are equipped with capillaries, it is recommended to consult the manufacturer. If it is unilateral, then the selection was incorrect from the start; generally, when the medium temperature exceeds 120°, it cannot be installed directly

Use it as a makeshift solution; don’t complain. That’s about the best quality the manufacturer can offer – it’s just that good. Asking them for more is pointless; the performance isn’t that great. Try to keep the temperatures at both ends of the remote sensing capillary the same when using it. Try to use it at a constant temperature. . .
This is due to silicone oil; at low temperatures, it is recommended to use two pressure transmitters to measure the differential pressure, rather than using a capillary

What is the pressure inside the container? Is there a negative pressure condition? Judging from the symptoms, it seems to be a problem with the liquid filling the capillaries on both sides. Under normal conditions, this temperature is not considered high, and ordinary silicone oil should be fine; it is suspected that the filling liquid has started to vaporize.
