May I ask if this type of control system can be drawn in a P&ID in this way? Do those boxes containing operators represent instruments or something else? It is for participating in the college student chemical engineering design competition, and I want to add some special controls
There’s no need to draw it so complicated; just use a DCS symbol for the operation inside the dashed box, and label it as “feedforward” – then everyone will understand.
For detailed notation, the content within the dashed box can be represented using virtual operations from the three DCS systems, that is, by three circles surrounded by boxes; FY (or UY) is indicated above these boxed circles, with the operator marked in the upper right or upper left corner.
