The installed ECS100 and ECS700 have no dogs, and no connecting hardware. The 2-hour version. The data shown in the simulation run are all question marks. Some of the data changes back and forth in a sine wave pattern. I would like to ask whether the DCS in the central control system has a real simulation function, similar to that of Yokogawa, where changing an MV value causes the PV value to change as well. Is it a problem with dogs, or is simulation not possible at all? Seeking help from experts, thank you
If there’s a dog, it’s also a sine wave variation, I guess. There is no such feature.
Are you sure? If that’s the case, I’m not even considering buying a dog
Is there any way to remove the question mark? Is it possible to modify the configuration? My ultimate goal is to write numbers in through the OPC protocol and have them displayed in the DCS
Are you simulating it at the flowchart location? Is it still in the algorithm?
It’s a flowchart; my goal is that once the monitoring system is up and running, I can modify the MV value, and then the PV value will change accordingly. Or the simplest way is for me to change a value using an OPC client tool, and it will be displayed in the DCS (so that the question mark disappears)
I’ve used the JX-300XP system from the central control unit; simulation requires a simulator and a software dongle, and it’s quite complicated to use – you have to provide the feedback signals yourself. Doing a simulation is extremely exhausting!
