What does PLC channel passivation mean? Passivation occurs after the wires are disconnected, and it is necessary to manually remove this passivation on the host computer in order for values to be displayed. Whom does this passivation removal apply to?
PLC channel passivation refers to the situation where, when a PLC channel loses its communication signal (such as due to a disconnected cable or connection issues), its status is marked as “passivated”; in this state, the PLC channel cannot read or write data properly. Manual intervention is required, using a host computer to remove the passivation state of the channel, in order to restore the PLC channel’s normal data reading and writing functions. Normally, removing the passivation state of a PLC channel requires action by PLC maintenance personnel or relevant technical staff. These personnel need to access the host computer of the PLC system and follow a specific procedure to remove the channel from its passivated state. Once channel passivation is successfully removed, the PLC channel can operate normally and data can be read from or written to it.
