Instrument certificate

In accordance with the **Order No. 30 of the State Administration for Work Safety – Provisions on the Management of Safety Technology Training and Assessment for Special Operators**, instrument maintenance personnel in chemical enterprises must hold a special operator certificate for \"Chemical Automation Control Instrument Operations.\" It used to be relatively easy to obtain such a certificate, but now it is a bit more difficult.

The requirements are as follows: 1) Theory exam (a computer-based test with 100 questions; 80 points is the passing score for multiple-choice and true/false questions). 2) Practical test 1: An exam on first aid measures, including CPR, head dressing, use of air respirators, and fire extinguishers; usually one of these topics is selected randomly. 3) Practical test 2: Use of instrumentation tools and identification of PID diagrams. Selection of 475 types of controllers, multimeters, signal generators, insulation resistance testers, pressure gauges; identification of problems shown in images, understanding of PID, and more. Generally, factories arrange for training sessions where practical operations are demonstrated, along with some theoretical questions; there are also test questions available on the official website (but only one to two days is allowed to study them)
