Problem with Bentley probe in DCS, seeking expert help

Our company has installed a compressor, and the manufacturer provided 8 vibration transmitters with pre-amplifiers, 2 phase detection transmitters with pre-amplifiers, and one speed monitoring transmitter with a pre-amplifier. However, we don’t have a 3500 model. I’m asking the experts here: is there any transmitter that can allow these signals to be fed into the DCS without having to purchase a 3500 model? I’ve made many calls, but all I got were agents who didn’t understand the issue. Is there anyone I can contact for after-sales support?

To be used in DCS, it must be a standard analog signal; find a way to add a transmitter

I think the same way. But I’m not sure if there is one

No preamplifier is needed; use a transmitter such as the Bentley 990 (vibration transmitter) or 991 (displacement transmitter), with an output of 4-20mA.

Check the requirements: phase and acceleration – these are not available in the 990 series; vibration is acceptable. The range also needs to be considered

Bentley 2300/20 – An American Bentley product. The Bently 2300/20 two-channel monitor is designed specifically for use with a wide range of important auxiliary equipment; it is not limited to applications such as cooling tower fan pumps alone; fan ; blower ; Motor ; Coal grinder ; Centrifuge ; mixer ; Blender ; Air compressor ; Small reciprocating compressor ; Small electric motor ; Small hydroturbine. Bently Nevada 3500 Series, used for vibration protection of auxiliary equipment. 2300/20_KIT-003-02-01: Download of the original documents: 2300/20 Dual Channel Vibration Monitors.PDF. Information on ordering Bentley 2300 series vibration monitors: 2300/20-AA-BB: Monitor with 4-20mA output (includes DIN rail mounting components, manual, and monitor configuration software). AA: Approval options – 00: None; 02: Multiple institutional explosion protection certifications (ATEX/IECEx/CSA). CN: Chinese explosion protection certification. BB: System 1 connection software license – 00: Not required; 01: Required. Common models of Bentley 2300 dual-channel vibration monitors: 2300/20-00-00, 2300/20-CN-00. These monitors can receive signals from the following speed sensors, acceleration sensors, and 3300XL sensors: AM3100T2-Z2 Accelerometer Sensor; 330400/330425 Accelerometer Sensor; 330500 Velomitor Speed Sensor; 330505 Velomitor Speed Sensor; 330525 Velomitor Speed Sensor; 190501 Velomitor Speed Sensor; 100M0741 Pro*mity Switch; 284947 Magnetic Pickup; 3300XL 8mm/11mm Nsv eddy current sensor. The Bentley 2300 General Equipment Monitor provides cost-effective online vibration monitoring and protection functions for machinery with lower criticality levels or as a backup solution ; It is designed specifically for the continuous monitoring and protection of auxiliary equipment. Customers in fields such as 2300/20, oil and gas, power generation, water treatment, paper manufacturing, machining, mining, cement, and other industries can use it to implement condition-based maintenance for their large-scale rotating equipment assets. The 2300 dual-channel monitor carries out online vibration monitoring and issues alarms when vibration levels are high. It has two seismic-type vibration measurement input channels that can receive signals from various types of acceleration sensors ; One speed input channel, equivalent to time-synchronized measurement ; Its outputs include relay contact outputs, 4-20mA* outputs, SPA* outputs, and Modbus TCP outputs. The 2300 can be configured very conveniently using GE Bentley Nevada Monitor Configuration Software (BNMC). Key features: • Suitable for continuous monitoring and protection of BOP equipment • Next-generation monitor platform • Rugged, compact integrated device • Two acceleration input channels with parallel sampling, synchronized with the speed channel • Two protection relays • The outputs of these two protection relays can be programmed according to different setpoints • A dedicated speed/phase input channel (eddy current sensor, proximity switch, or magnetoresistive speed probe) • On-site LED indicators for monitor status • On-site display of vibration values and speed • Convenient and flexible on-site and remote reset options for alarms and relays • Unified BNMC software for device configuration and display • On-site and remote configuration locking (two dedicated contacts provided) • Three sensor buffer outputs with short-circuit protection and electromagnetic interference resistance via BNC connectors (including speed signals) • 24VDC power supply module, with optional 240/110 V DIN rail mounting • Network connection using Modbus Ethernet protocol (optional) • Overall dimensions: 127x127x76 mm (5x5x3 inches) • DIN rail mounting ; The installation dimensions are the same as those of 1900/25, 1900/27. Approved for use in hazardous areas; approval options: (01) CSA, Class I, Division 2 / Zone 2 in Canada and the United States; ATEX: II 3G Ex nA nC IIC T4 Gc; IECEx: Ex nA nC IIC T4 Gc

If the original transmitter cannot be found for the time being, one can look for a compatible one available in China. It is best to send the probe along for testing as well.

All that was found were suppliers:,lol; no technical solutions could be found.

2300/20 can transmit two points, which can be vibration or rotational speed

With so many measurement points, why isn’t it reached 3500? Do the leaders in your unit understand this?
