What is this type of step control used for?
X-type split range, with overlapping coverage areas for the two valves. That is, both valves within a certain signal area are open. Used in processes that require different media to be involved in control during the production process. For example, the nitrogen filling valve and exhaust valve in nitrogen sealing, or heating and cooling during exothermic reactions. But covering the entire signal range – I’ve never seen that.
The total flow rate remains constant, for example, through dual-valve control of the main/backup circuits in the heat exchanger； Dual-valve control for the main circuit/bypass of the delivery pump.
For the control of this place, can’t a V-shaped split-range control curve be used?
The traffic on the main road cannot change. For example, in the case of discharge from a centrifugal pump, there is an X-split between the main path and the bypass path; the flow rate in the main path is the discharge flow rate of the pump.
