A client has provided me with the operating conditions: a maximum pressure of 47–48 MPa, an operating pressure of around 30 MPa, a temperature of about 100 degrees Celsius, and a flow rate of 30 kilograms per minute. What type of instrument can be used to measure these values? If it’s possible, a higher level of precision would be ideal. I’ve tried hard but can’t think of anything suitable; would an orifice plate work? I’d like to ask everyone
A standard nozzle or venturi tube is also used for differential pressure measurement; there is a flow meter that makes use of sonic nozzle flow meters for calibration, so it should be suitable for your application. Orifice plates, on the other hand, may be damaged by the pressure.
A bent-tube flow meter, I hear it can withstand pressures of up to 70 MPa
How precise can it be? Do you have the manufacturer’s contact information?
Meter manufacturers can generally handle this; any domestic manufacturer that offers a complete range of instrumentation products can do it, and they can be found easily by simply doing a search. An accuracy level of 0.5 should be more than sufficient
