Baffle-type flow switches or plug-in flow switches are also known as mechanical flow switches. Its principle involves the flow of water pushing a baffle to move, which in turn triggers a microswitch to activate. The advantage of this mechanical flow switch is its ease of use and low cost. 1. The baffle-type flow switch does not contain bellows that are prone to causing failures. 3. The electrical components of the baffle-type flow switch do not come into direct contact with metal components that have large temperature differences, so there is no risk of condensation forming on these electrical components and causing rust. 4. The baffle-type flow switch uses an imported magnetosensitive switch as its electrical actuation element, and it features a low flow rate for switching off and resetting. The mechanical flow switch is generally installed in the pipeline from the water pump’s outlet to the equipment’s outlet; it is best not to install it in the pipeline at the water pump’s inlet, as this can prevent the pump from drawing water properly and also prevent the flow switch from activating.
