I would like to ask everyone: When an electromagnetic flowmeter is not in use and the pipeline is empty, is it normal for the meter to show a flow rate of around zero?
It’s abnormal; there might be some electromagnetic interference.
Under normal circumstances, it is possible to set a low-flow cutoff. Additionally, it is not recommended to use the flow meter in air traffic control scenarios, as this will trigger air traffic control alarms and result in abnormal readings.
The actual lower limit of the measurement range for ordinary flow meters is not zero; there is a range ratio, and thus the minimum flow rate falls within the range where the flow meter’s accuracy is limited – any fluctuations in this area can be considered normal. If this value is a concern, you can set a low flow rate cutoff to filter it out.
