The principle is easy to understand: it measures the pressure difference across the diaphragm. However, for an air duct with a diameter of less than 2 mm and a length of 10 m, can the piezoresistance really be ignored? Moreover, in actual use, this type of level gauge with a pressure guide tube has a large error margin and poor stability. I had never noticed before that an immersion level gauge also requires an air duct, and this situation has never occurred before. Does this type of level gauge necessarily require an air guide tube?
It’s pretty strange; it’s best to send a picture. Actually, if you look at the instructions, you can get a general idea: submersible level gauges are mainly used to measure the level in open containers, by means of static pressure measurement. If there’s a pressure transfer element, doesn’t it help in measuring the differential pressure? Talk to the manufacturer

Why choose this one? There are too many factors to consider in this type of investment; it is indeed cheap, but the air duct you mentioned is too thin. I don’t know how tall your tank is – how long does this air duct need to be? If it’s too thin, the pressure transmission will be unstable
This air duct is connected to the atmosphere to prevent pressure changes from affecting the measurements.
It’s nothing special; it’s just for connecting to the atmosphere. Otherwise, how can pressure be measured?
This air duct has nothing to do with whether the brand is well-known or not; level gauges from brands such as Siemens and E+H also come equipped with air ducts. As for the resistance of the air duct? What is the resistance for static pressure?
