There is a wiring box at the front end of the electric heating wiring box. Previously, the wiring was as shown in Figure 2: the green wire was connected to terminal C, while the red wire was disconnected and connected to terminal NO; as a result, the electric heating element did not heat up. The electrical engineers said that this device wasn’t part of their scope of work and had never seen it before. After some investigation, it seemed to be a thermistor relay – when the green neutral wire was disconnected and the live wire was connected directly to terminal C, the device entered the NC (normally closed) state, and then the electric heating element started working properly. Experts, please advise whether this approach is correct
Thermostat power junction box. C=Common, connected to the neutral wire ; NO=Normally Open, normally open state. Connect the live wire. At this point, the power supply is disconnected; in conjunction with the temperature sensor, if the temperature detected by the sensor is below the set temperature, the NC contact opens and heating begins. The set value for starting heating should be adjustable. Specifically search for the user manual of the brand and model product.
Does this thing have a temperature control module? Due to construction work done a long time ago, there are no temperature controllers connected to the outside. By connecting it directly to the NC terminal in this way, does that mean the temperature controller is being bypassed, allowing continuous power supply for heating? Is that also acceptable?
