Yokogawa DCS cascade automatically switches to manual mode

I would like to ask everyone: there is a gauge on site that, when it switches to cascade mode, automatically changes to manual mode, and then it returns to automatic mode again. By checking the historical records, it was found that when it is in cascade mode, the gauge displays IOP, but once it switches to manual mode, it shows normal values. I intended to check whether the current is at its maximum while it is in IOP mode, to see if this was due to an insufficient gauge range; however, IOP is a transient state and cannot be maintained. What should be done in this situation?

The Yokogawa DCS seems to have a protection mechanism; if the IOP or related values change suddenly by a large amount, it will switch from automatic to manual mode. If the gauge itself is fine, the problem might lie in the cable or loose connections

After switching to manual mode, or by keeping it in automatic mode, the IOP phenomenon will not occur as long as cascade control is not enabled. Could it be that there is a problem with the DCS?
