During a short shutdown, the system presumably does not initiate any discharge processes. Therefore, when replacing the DCS, there is a process of power interruption followed by power restoration. Can this ensure that the valves do not move? If the valves do move, it could lead to the release of toxic and hazardous materials. Since the new DCS has not yet been calibrated, this could result in serious accidents. And even if such accidents do not occur, how can the new DCS be calibrated, and how can it be ensured that all connections are correct and the logic is proper?
First, after comparing the old and new systems, the new version of the drawings is determined based on the type and allocation of signals; this is both the foundation and the basis for construction techniques; Second, hardware installation involves the issue of signal cable distribution; attention must be paid to details such as grounding and shielding to avoid issues across different cabinets ; Third, after the modification, not only should on-site signal control be tested, but communication with third parties and clock synchronization must also be ensured ; Fourth, based on the previous three points, it is necessary to inform the construction party in advance to avoid unnecessary time waste and achieve efficiency and cost savings. The signal labels are not very clear; some of them are facing away and thus cannot be seen, and they do not correspond exactly to those in the configuration. The most important thing is not to touch the wiring labels while the device is in operation.
It has been a problem for too long now; action is necessary. If one day we can afford fieldbus technology, I guess there will be no more of these troublesome wire ends. .
