Can nitrogen be used as the instrument air source? Are there any relevant specifications or standards?
According to HG/T 20510-2014 1.0.4, the instrument air supply should be clean and dry compressed air. In emergency situations, nitrogen can be used as a temporary gas source. Nitrogen is an excellent gas source, as it is very clean and free of moisture. However, its use as a gas source in enclosed concrete structures is not recommended, as it can lead to problems.
But I'm in an outdoor area, and there are flammable and explosive substances present; I want to use nitrogen as the gas source, but I can’t find any support for this approach

For flammable and explosive media, ordinary laboratory compressed air can be used as well; why is nitrogen necessary?
