There is an existing steam drum for which pressure needs to be measured. The temperature is around 200 degrees. Should the temperature transmitter be installed directly on the equipment, or should pressure be led out using pressure pipes for measurement?

Pressure transmitters used in steam systems require an annular elbow; when the surrounding temperature is too high, a pressure guide tube must be used to lead the signal to a location where the temperature is within acceptable limits. Root valves and drain valves also need to be installed to facilitate maintenance.
Not only is it necessary, but there must also be condensate inside the pressure guiding tube.

The best approach is to use a flanged capillary pressure transmitter, short-circuit the elbow flanges, and then install the flanged capillary pressure transmitter; the length of the short-circuited elbow flanges should be appropriate to maintain temperature. The advantage is that there is no leakage and no maintenance is required. For junction-type pressure transmitters, use a condensation ring to maintain a constant temperature; avoid using pressure pipes to lead the fluid to a condensation tank. Freezing prevention is the biggest issue in winter. Another drawback of junction-type pressure transmitters is that thermal expansion and contraction can cause the connections to loosen.
