The calculation of pressure drop in constant-pressure pipelines is a fluid dynamics analysis method for the flow of liquids in pipes, used to estimate the pressure reduction of the fluid within the pipes. To this end, it is necessary to draw a piping diagram of the pipeline system, indicating information such as the flow velocity of the fluid in the pipes, the pipe material, the pipe diameter, and the devices inserted into the pipes, as well as determining parameters such as the density and kinematic viscosity of the fluid. These parameters will be used to calculate the large-loop loss and the small-loop loss; by adding these two losses together, the total pressure drop of the piping system can be obtained.
