Instrument alarm management events in the deltatav system

Our DCS is deltap. I would like to know more about this alarm management system. There are several fans at our site, and since those fans are currently stopped, the PI pressure on them is 0. This value is below our setpoint, which triggers continuous alarms. I want to understand how Emerson’s DeltaV system records such alarms Should it be recorded only once or continuously (once per scan? ) Because after the alarm is triggered, our operators confirm that an alarm has occurred; in my opinion, as long as the operators confirm it, it should be recorded only once, right?
In Emerson’s DeltaV system, alarm events are typically recorded at the time of their first occurrence and marked as “active”. If the operator confirms the alarm, it will be marked as “confirmed”. The system will not repeatedly record the same alarm event just because the alarm condition persists. The system will only record a new alarm event again when the alarm condition is resolved and triggered once more. Therefore, once the operator has confirmed the alarm, the system will not record the same alarm repeatedly, even if the conditions remain unchanged. .
