From the information I’ve reviewed, I learned that there are two ways to configure the AMS system: one is to use intelligent transmitters (with HART protocol) + I/O cards that support the HART protocol + AMS software installed on the terminal operation station; Another option is: intelligent transmitter (with HART protocol) + HART signal collector + AMS software configured at the terminal operation station ; I’ve never done it, so I’m not sure if what I’m saying is correct. Please advise those who have done it

Yes, DCS is the first option; PLCs may have hardware components that do not support HART, or the HART signals may not be able to reach the AMS, in which case a HART multiplexer is used……
