Our company has two DN50 E+H mass flow meters installed on the same pipeline, which transports DMC from Workshop A to Workshop B. Both flow meters have been verified by a third party as being qualified, and their installation locations are appropriate. Question: The instantaneous flow rates measured by the two flowmeters differ by 0.1 T/H. Even after swapping the positions of the two flowmeters, the difference remains at 0.1 T/H. The flowmeter located in a lower position (where the temperature is lower) shows a higher flow rate than the one in a higher position (where the temperature is higher); no other differences were observed. Excuse me, experts: where does the error of 0.1 T/H come from?
Could there be a situation of insufficient pipe coverage in higher locations?

It could be due to differences in temperature or medium density; if the flow rate is high, combined with the accuracy limitations of the instrument, it’s possible for there to be a temporary difference in flow rate of 0.1 T/H
Is the main pipe below or above? Perhaps, in reality, the pipe below has a higher flow rate than the one above.
According to you, when the positions of the two flow meters are swapped, the one with the lower temperature shows a value that is 0.1 t/h higher than that of the one with the higher temperature; this indicates that it is merely the temperature that affects the density of the medium, resulting in different masses. Try changing the output unit to volume and see if the flow rate value remains the same; this can help determine what the problem is.
