In the penetration of PC technology into the field of industrial control, configuration software holds a very special and important position.
Configuration software refers to specialized software for data acquisition and process control; it represents software platforms and development environments at the monitoring level of automatic control systems. Through flexible configuration methods, it provides users with generic-level software tools that enable them to quickly build monitoring functions for industrial automatic control systems. Configuration software should be able to support various industrial control devices and common communication protocols, and it should typically provide distributed data management and networking capabilities.
Corresponding to the original concept of HMI (Human Machine Interface) software, configuration software should be a software tool or development environment that enables users to quickly create their own HMI.
