According to Sinochem New Network, recently the propylene oxide department of Hunan Petrochemical completed the first safe and smooth trial production of the polypropylene grade PPH-EH02 in the polypropylene plant. 282 tons of product that met the quality standards have been delivered and are now in the stage of downstream evaluation. **Grids are widely used in infrastructure fields such as subgrade reinforcement and slope stabilization. The polypropylene raw material used by a **material manufacturer based in Wuhan, Hubei** for manufacturing grilles will soon cease to be available, creating a supply gap in the Central China region. Upon learning of the situation, Hunan Petrochemical quickly worked together with Sinopec’s Chemical Sales Central China Branch to get in touch with the customer and conduct in-depth research on its production processes and technical requirements. In response to the customer’s timeline of conducting trial production in December 2025 and achieving stable supply in January 2026, as well as the strict requirements that the product must meet, such as high tensile strength, high isotacticity, and a specific range of melt index, the technical team in the polypropylene division of Hunan Petrochemical’s propylene oxide department, after several rounds of discussions, finalized a plan for the first trial production. On December 18, production was switched over to the new grade of polypropylene material specifically designed for this purpose, and the customer reported that the product performed well in terms of its properties during extrusion and heat stretching processes.
