The evaporated material uses MVR, three-effect, or single-effect systems to concentrate the sodium sulfide solution from 16%–20% to a concentration of 60%. However, the double-flange level gauges in use all have some degree of deviation. The diaphragms used in single-effect units are made of 316L material, and due to corrosion and scaling, they can no longer be used. In MVR and three-effect systems, the diaphragms are not affected by low concentrations, but severe scaling on the diaphragms interferes with measurements, resulting in inaccurate liquid level readings. I’d like to ask experts if there is any solution? Please advise on self-control instruments
If the diaphragm gets scaled, does the heat exchanger not get scaled? Choose an appropriate diaphragm material and equip it with a system for flushing the diaphragm at regular intervals
If it is already difficult to change the opening of the level gauge, it is recommended to follow the suggestion from Haiyou on the first floor.
Apart from the issue of material selection for single-effect systems, I believe that in other cases, the problem with liquid levels is caused by scaling. What measures can be taken to delay the occurrence of scaling and thus reduce the need for cleaning the equipment and the associated labor intensity?
