Eastern Furnace Bubble Bed

Experts, why are some of the bubble beds in the Eastern furnace designed to be submerged within the liquid level of the gasification furnace? What is the reason for this setting? ? ?
Is there also pulverized coal in the gasifier level? Is it the Dongyu furnace? Is a bubble bed a type of fluidized bed?

The interior of the Eastern furnace is equipped with a bubbling bed; after the syngas has been quenched and washed, it flows into the water bath area where the bubbles are broken apart by the bubbling bed. Spraying water is also used in this process. My question is: why are there two layers of bubbling beds located within the liquid level of the quenching chamber?
I think this naming is intended to avoid patents; it seems a bit like the bubble-breaking strip in a four-nozzle quench chamber
More or less; it seems that the blisters present in water should be removed first, and the liquid droplets above the level of the quenching chamber should be removed as well. If there are two layers that are not in contact with water, perhaps several more layers need to be added above the level of the quenching chamber… or many layers in total to achieve the desired effect.
