On the day of material feeding, after the commissioning personnel thoroughly verified the startup procedure, the control center issued the command to feed the materials. The sequential control program began counting down: “1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds…” After 36 seconds, the procedure was completed, and everyone held their breath in anticipation. The operator at the control center exclaimed excitedly, “The pressure is rising steadily, and the temperature is also increasing – the startup was successful!” ”All the staff cheered joyfully to celebrate the successful trial run with feedstock. The gasification unit employs the multi-feed slurry pressurized gasification technology developed by the Northwest Research Institute of Chemical Engineering; the gasification pressure is 6.5 megapascals. This process features a high carbon conversion rate, with the yield of useful gas components exceeding 80%. The gasification furnace operates in a two-in-use-one-backup mode. After being purified through desulfurization and decarburization, the crude gas produced will supply 1.547 billion standard cubic meters of purified gas to the natural gas synthesis plant each year. From January to August this year, 680 million yuan was invested in this project; since its commencement, a total of 20.295 billion yuan has been invested, accounting for 93.96% of the estimated basic cost of 21.6 billion yuan. To date, utility services such as water, electricity, gas, and steam, as well as auxiliary production facilities including tank farms, loading/unloading equipment, and wastewater treatment systems, have all been put into operation and are operating stably. The main processes such as the natural gas conversion and synthesis unit, the methanol-to-olefins unit, and the olefin polymerization unit have been operational, producing qualified products. The sales value of the first batch of 794 tons of products amounted to 7.0745 million yuan, and the entire production process will be fully operational by the end of the day. The Yan’an coal, oil, and gas resources comprehensive utilization project is the largest energy and chemical project invested in by Yanchang Petroleum Group in Yan’an. With a total investment of around 24 billion yuan, the project consists of 10 production units along with the corresponding utility systems and auxiliary facilities. The project is located in the Luo River valley in the southern part of Fuxian County, Shaanxi Province. It uses associated gas from Yanchang Petroleum’s oil fields, refinery light oils, and coal as raw materials to build 10 sets of processing units, including ones for producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol derivatives, 400,000 tons per year of light oil products, 450,000 tons per year of polyethylene, 250,000 tons per year of polypropylene, 200,000 tons per year of butanol, 80,000 tons per year of dipropyl heptanol, and 50,000 tons per year of EPDM rubber, along with supporting auxiliary facilities and off-site infrastructure.
