On the afternoon of June 17, 2021, the hoisting of Jinhua Furnace 3.0, a key piece of equipment for Henan Jindadi’s 600,000-ton/year baking soda project, was successfully completed. Henan Jindadi’s 600,000-ton/year soda ash project is accompanied by a 600,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis facility, for which two additional gasification furnaces have been installed. The newly added gasifier and the three Jinhua 3.0 units from the third-phase project, which are already in operation, serve as backups for each other, forming a gasification island with four units in operation and one as backup. The pressure and gas flow rate of the newly added Jinhua furnace are the same as those of the first three gasification furnaces; the daily coal input for each furnace is 1,500 tons, the gasification pressure remains at 6.5 MPa, and the gas flow rate per furnace is 80,000 m3/h (CO + H2). Jinhua Furnace 3.0 is the first in the world to combine \"water-coal slurry + membrane wall + radiant steam generator,\" and has been successfully industrialized. It provides a solution for the comprehensive utilization of \"high-carbon, high-sulfur, and high-ash coals\" across the country as well as for the localized production of coal gas; its overall technology is at the international leading level. The 600,000 tons per year synthetic ammonia relocation and renovation project in Henan Jindadi uses three Jinhua Furnace 3.0 units, with two in operation and one as a backup, each handling 1,500 tons of coal per day. Driving in February 2019. Since full-scale production began on May 8, 2019, Nissan’s synthetic ammonia output has remained above 1,800 tons. The maximum daily output was 1,912.8 tons, reaching 106.3% of the designed capacity.
