The first major piece of equipment for the relocation and renovation project of Jiangsu Debong Xinghua was successfully lifted into place on the first attempt. The 350,000 tons per year ammonia synthesis project as part of Jiangsu Debong Xinghua Chemical Co., Ltd.’s relocation and renovation project was funded through a partnership between Air Products Corporation (AP) and Debong Xinghua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.; Air Products holds 80% of the shares while the Debong Group holds 20%. Together, they own and operate the air separation units as well as the gasification and purification facilities. For gasification, the water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier technology developed by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. (Jinhua Furnace 3.0) is employed. The gasifier was delivered to the site recently; after verification by the relevant technical personnel, a lifting plan was formulated, and it was successfully lifted in one go today. The successful lifting of the Jinhua furnace marks another significant step forward for Debang Chemical Co., Ltd.’s ammonia synthesis project toward its official commissioning. The gasification unit is designed with two independent units; the gasification pressure is 6.5 MpaG, and the total gas output is 110,000 Nm3/h (CO + H2). The project is located in the Xuwei New Area of Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province.
