If the coke oven loses power (or gas supply), it is necessary to close the exchange valve in the basement. Are there any requirements for the shutdown order? Should it be turned off starting from the beginning, or from the end? Does it not matter?

I remember that the technician who specialized in adjusting parameters said that failing to shut off the system at the end points could lead to unstable gas pressure there
First of all, it’s about turning off the add and subtract valves. The exchange plug is part of the exchange mechanism. Order doesn’t matter; speed is key. An experienced flame adjuster can first turn off only the elements that control upward movement, and then check to ensure everything is turned off. If there is one that cannot be closed, set it aside and close the others first; once all of them have been closed, then deal with the one that couldn’t be closed (regularly check the settings, and conduct random inspections in the work areas)
My teacher said that if it isn’t closed at the end, it will cause a sudden increase in gas pressure at that end, which can easily break the water seal
