In the sulfur production furnace, the temperature at the junction where the burner meets the furnace body is quite high, around 150 degrees; elsewhere, the temperature is around 85°C. Only in that area has the paint on the surface melted away, and it appears dark, as if it has been burned. Could it be that there are cracks in the lining, which is why the temperature there is higher than in other areas?
There shouldn’t be any major problems. One reason is that the surface temperature is 150°C, which is not very high ； Secondly, that joint is usually a necked area, so it is normal for the temperature there to be slightly higher than in other areas.
Around 150 degrees is actually the most common, and I’ve really never heard of anyone having a value as low as 85 degrees.
