Around 5:30 p.m. on June 11, after 3 hours of testing, the particle cooling unit in Weihua Group’s urea production workshop finally completed its trial operation successfully. The urea particle cooling device is one of the new technical improvement projects introduced by the urea production plant as part of its efforts to boost company efficiency and enhance the reputation of its products during the year dedicated to such improvements. Following a series of preliminary investigations, the technicians in the urea production plant learned that the Solex urea particle cooling units are adopted in many fields involving the cooling of dust or particles, thanks to the inherent advantages of heat exchange through the partition walls in the circulating water system; the more than 50 such cooling units currently in use are all operating properly. Therefore, the urea plant submitted an application for a particle cooling device to the company at the beginning of January, based on actual conditions. Following intensive and meticulous preliminary work including planning, design, and construction, the particle cooling system was mechanically completed on May 31, with pipeline and equipment purging, flushing, and leak testing also finished. On June 8, through the joint efforts of multiple departments, a comprehensive \"three inspections and four determinations\" process was carried out on the urea particle cooling unit. After all identified issues were resolved, the unit finally met the conditions necessary for trial operation. Image: Around 2:30 p.m. on June 11, Wu Baozhou, the director of the urea production workshop, Han Wenlong, the process director, Wang Tao, the equipment director, and others went to the particle cooling unit site to carry out trial operation work. After successful trial operations in each unit, the overall system finally achieved stable operation at 5:30. Measurements showed that the temperature of the urea product dropped from 71.6°C to 49°C after passing through the particle cooler, indicating there is still significant room for improvement, which further underscores the complete success of these trial operations. Subsequently, the issues that arose during the trial operation period will be addressed. Once these issues are resolved, the particle cooling system will be put into full operation, thereby improving the appearance quality of the products during periods of extremely high temperatures and contributing to an increase in the company’s profitability for the year.
