The ammonia-rich gas drawn from the side line of the acidic water stripping unit is sent to the incinerator; in the absence of fuel gas, it is burned through a certain mechanism, and the temperature inside the incinerator reaches around 1200 degrees Celsius. Can ammonia-rich gas burn?
Are you referring to the incinerator for sulfur recovery? Can the temperature reach 1200°C? Is it a sulfur production furnace? If it is a sulfur production furnace and the burner can burn ammonia, then it can be used.
It’s a incinerator. Our stripping unit has a side stream; the sulfur production furnace does not burn gases containing amino groups. The material drawn from the side stream goes directly into the incinerator from the three-stage condenser, in a volume of around 300 cubic meters. The temperature in the incinerator is around 1300 degrees
Temperature shouldn’t be an issue, but it’s not an ammonia-burning burner, so incomplete combustion is possible.
