It is capable of processing 2 million tons of heavy oil and 2 million tons of coal powder per year, thereby producing chemical products such as PX, benzene, and light hydrocarbons. This setup facilitates the coordinated development of the petroleum and petrochemical industries with the textile and apparel industry, while also promoting the growth of related industries in the area. Once completed, the project will provide sufficient PX raw materials for the PTA projects in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, while also creating tens of thousands of jobs, thus making a positive contribution to the autonomous region’s strategic goal of \"vigorously developing the textile and apparel industry to create employment for millions of people in southern Xinjiang\".
