Principle of inclined tube sedimentators: The sedimentation and water purification method using inclined tubes and plates involves placing these elements above the suspended sludge layer, at an inclination angle of 60 degrees. This allows the suspended particles in the raw water to accumulate on the lower surface area of the inclined tubes and plates, forming a thin layer of sludge. Under the effect of gravity, this sludge then slides back into the suspended sludge layer and eventually settles into the sludge collection container. It is then discharged through the sludge pipe into the sludge tank for treatment or comprehensive utilization. The clean water at the top gradually rises to the collection pipe for discharge; it can be discharged directly or reused. Settling tank: A structure that uses gravity to settle and remove suspended solids from water. Inclined tube: A sedimentation device developed theoretically for shallow tanks, widely used in water treatment sedimentation tanks. Inclined tubes are primarily used for sand removal at the inlets of water supply and drainage systems, for the sedimentation of industrial and domestic water, for sewage sedimentation, oil separation, and tailing concentration. Electroplating wastewater is a type of mixed-metal wastewater; the removal rates for chromium, copper, iron, zinc, and nickel can exceed 93%, and after treatment in inclined tube or inclined plate sedimentation tanks, it meets the discharge standards. 2. In coal mines, wastewater can reduce its turbidity from 600–1600 mg/L to 5 mg/L. 3. For industrial wastewater from industries such as printing and dyeing, the color removal rate is 70-90%, while the COD removal rate is 50-70%. 4. For wastewater from industries such as leather and food processing, the removal rate of COD can reach 60–80%, while the removal rate of solid impurities is over 95%. 5. The COD removal rate for chemical wastewater is 60-70%, the color removal rate is 60-90%, and the suspended solids levels can meet the discharge standards
