On the morning of November 5, a design briefing meeting for the land leveling project of Sinopec Guizhou Energy Chemicals’ PGA Project was held in the Kaniuba Conference Room at the project site in Zhijin County, where technical details regarding earthwork, waterproofing measures, foundation treatment, and flood control measures for this land leveling project were discussed. Sun Rongtian, deputy manager of PMT, the heads of various departments at PMT, as well as the project leaders from units responsible for design, supervision, testing, monitoring, and general construction, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Liu Junfeng, head of the design and technology department of the project team. At the meeting, the design firm provided a detailed introduction to various aspects of the project, including its basic conditions and surrounding environmental factors, earthwork and stone work for site leveling, foundation treatment, measures for preventing seepage during site leveling, designs for flood control and drainage systems, as well as plans for monitoring and testing during site leveling and the overall construction organization. The firm explained in detail the intentions behind the design, highlighted the points that needed attention during construction, and answered the questions raised by the participating parties. This design briefing has laid the foundation for accelerating the construction progress of the site grading work, and provided strong support to ensure the safety and reliability of the construction quality. Sinopec’s 500,000 tons per year polylactic acid project is a demonstration project for the company’s efforts to advance cutting-edge coal chemical technologies toward industrial application; it is also a landmark project for Guizhou Province in achieving modern industrialization and rural revitalization. The project is located in Zhijin County, Bijie City, which is situated in the upper reaches of the Wujiang River and boasts abundant mineral resources. Sinopec and Guizhou Province have made full use of their respective strengths to deepen their strategic cooperation, and on November 25, 2020, they signed a \"Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for Comprehensively Promoting High-Quality Development.\" The total investment amounts to approximately 23 billion yuan, of which the investment for the first phase is around 11 billion yuan. This phase will enable an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of polyglycolic acid, with completion expected in 2024 ； The annual sales revenue of the product is expected to reach 3.15 billion yuan. Phase 2 will bring the capacity for polyglycolic acid to 300,000 tons per year, with completion scheduled for 2026. The project includes a gas gasification unit, a gas cryogenic separation unit, coupling and hydrogenation units, and a polyglycolic acid production unit; it is also equipped with a combined heat and power generation unit and an air separation unit.
