The 100,000 tons per year FTO synthetic wax and 20,000 tons per year residue wax refining project carried out by Inner Mongolia Yuanji Chemical Co., Ltd. was completed on November 20, 2018; it is now in the preparation phase for production, with trial production expected to begin next month. Located in the Dali Coal Chemical Industry Base, this project has a total investment of 140 million yuan and involves the installation of over 300 sets of new equipment. It uses FTO wax and residue wax produced by Yitai Coal-to-Oil Company within the park as raw materials to manufacture various types of coal-based synthetic waxes, thereby meeting the demand for high-quality waxes in various industries. Once completed, the project will break the monopoly held by foreign manufacturers on high-end wax in the domestic market, and it will also effectively address the issue of handling waste generated from Yitai’s coal-to-oil process. After it goes into operation, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 860 million yuan, along with profits and taxes amounting to nearly 100 million yuan.
