It is reported that this move marks the official entry of the air separation unit into the equipment installation phase. The distillation tower is one of the core equipment in air separation units; it consists of an upper tower and a lower tower. On-site, it was lifted in sections, and its total height after assembly is 52.7 meters. A responsible official from the methanol facility said that to ensure the smooth installation of the equipment, the project management team at the Yulin Chemical Methanol Facility worked closely with all parties involved in the construction. They organized several meetings with companies such as Ningbo Institute, Shaanxi Chemical Engineering Group, and Air Liquide to carefully discuss the schedule for installing the cryogenic tanks, thereby determining the appropriate times and locations for delivering and installing the equipment. The completion project for the first phase of Yulin Energy Chemical Complex is a key initiative aimed at implementing the requirements set by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to \"enhance the demonstration effect of the comprehensive utilization projects for coal, oil, and gas resources in Jingbian\", as well as the goals of Yan’an Petroleum Group regarding \"changing development models and adjusting the industrial structure\". With an investment of 14.413 billion yuan, this project will use coal and natural gas as raw materials to build integrated facilities capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of olefins from methanol, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2020, at which time Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will increase to 1.8 million tons per year.
