A few days ago, the industrial demonstration project related to high-concentration slurry preparation technology, which is a key research project of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical Group, completed its process flow successfully, with material feeding taking place in one go. After more than ten days of tuning, the slurry concentration was increased from around 59% to 62.56%. The product quality remained stable and its fluidity was good; it was successfully integrated into the production system of Shaanxi Xinghua Group’s existing gasification unit and has been operating steadily since then. The high-concentration slurry preparation technology was independently developed by Northwest Chemical Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd. It can effectively increase the slurry concentration, broaden the range of raw materials available for gasification, reduce the raw material consumption per unit of product, and increase production capacity, yielding significant economic and social benefits. Currently, the Northwest Institute is accelerating the implementation of device optimization. After the optimization is completed, the slurry concentration will increase to around 64%, and the content of useful gas produced by the gasifier will rise by 1–2 percentage points. The coal consumption and oxygen consumption will decrease significantly, allowing an increase in methanol production of about 50,000 tons per year, with direct economic benefits of over 30 million yuan.
