Date: 2020-04-09 Clicks: 11 On the afternoon of March 11, the 10 10-kilovolt power lines for the comprehensive utilization project of Jianyuan Coal Coking Co., Ltd. in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City (hereinafter referred to as Jianyuan Coal Coking), were successfully connected to the power grid, and the equipment is operating normally. Thus, the second phase of the Jianyuan coal coking project has successfully completed all the tasks related to the commissioning of the power supply infrastructure, thereby providing the necessary electricity supply for the subsequent testing phases and the full operation of the production line. The second phase of the Jianyuan Coal Coking project, which involves the construction of a facility capable of producing 2.8 million tons of coke and 260,000 tons of ethylene glycol, is a key industrial project in the autonomous region. Once completed, it will become the world’s largest production base for ethylene glycol derived from coke oven exhaust gases. Electricity is the vital energy source for the production processes in chemical enterprises; once the entire project is completed and put into operation, the electricity demand is expected to reach 80,000 kilowatts. Upon receiving the request for power expansion services for this project, the Ordos Electric Power Bureau carried out thorough planning and design, and invested in the construction of three 110 kV output lines to provide the project with a highly reliable power supply via \"three power sources\" ； A 110 kV substation will be constructed simultaneously, equipped with 22 10 kV outgoing lines, to provide independent and sufficient power supply for the various production lines of this project. It is reported that the No. 1 coking furnace of the Jianyuan coal coking and comprehensive utilization project has already been put into operation, while the No. 2 furnace will be operational by the end of March. The goal of achieving 70% operational capacity will be met by the end of May. The Ordos Bureau will continue to pay attention to users’ needs and provide comprehensive power supply services to ensure a sufficient and reliable power supply.
