Recently, the first batch of oil products generated by Xintian Coal Chemical’s units for the advanced processing of heavy aromatics and polyhydrocarbons – coal tar pitch – was shipped for sale after passing quality tests following sampling and analysis. As a key annual project for Xintian Coal Chemical Industry, the deep processing project is capable of producing five types of oils: light hydrocarbons, washed oil, anthracene oil, phenol oil, and coal tar pitch. The successful sale of coal tar pitch marked the first step in the external sales of by-products derived from Xintian Coal Chemical Industry, thereby **increasing the added value of these products. The five types of by-product oils produced by Xintian Coal Chemical Industry generate a profit of over 70 million yuan per year, which effectively promotes the company’s efforts in energy conservation, environmental protection, cost reduction, and improvement of efficiency – thus providing strong impetus for high-quality development. As of 10:00 on October 29, the facility had produced 1,226 tons of washed oil, 974 tons of coal tar pitch, 972 tons of anthracene oil, 482 tons of phenol oil, and 260 tons of light hydrocarbons. In response to **environmental protection initiatives, Xintian Coal Chemical Industry adheres to a path of green development. By building on the extension of its industrial chain, it actively develops advanced processing facilities for heavy aromatics and polyhydrocarbons, thereby increasing the added value of its by-products. This device employs a continuous two-column vacuum distillation process to fractionate and separate heavy aromatics, which are classified as hazardous waste, converting them into products such as light hydrocarbons, washing oils, anthracene oil, phenol oil, and coal tar that can be sold directly. This approach results in a yield about 6% higher compared to the previous single-column process. The external sale of the first batch of by-product oils – coal tar – is an encouraging development during this special period of the pandemic. It serves as excellent support for the company’s efforts to apply historical lessons in its operations and carry out its 100-day action plan. Additionally, it plays a positive role in helping the company achieve energy conservation, reduce costs and losses, and improve efficiency. Taking this as an opportunity, Xintian Coal Chemical will further explore the potential of the by-product industry chain, continuously optimize its production processes, and gradually achieve the reduction, harmless treatment, and resource utilization of hazardous waste.
