Signing of Air Products’ Zero-Carbon Ammonia Splitting Hydrogen Production Project in Weifang Author/Source: Gas Separation Date: 11-10-2021 Clicks: 18 On November 5, Liu Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the city, met with a delegation of three members from Air Products of the United States in Shanghai. During this year’s CIIE, Air Products’ zero-carbon ammonia cracking hydrogen production project in Weifang was signed as one of the four key projects in Shandong Province. It is reported that Air Chemical Products (Weifang) Co., Ltd. was established in Weifang in October 2021 to build the first phase of the \"Weifang Binhai Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Project.\" With a total investment of 50 million US dollars, this project has an annual production capacity of 17,000 tons. It serves as a key supporting project for Weifang’s efforts to become a \"hydrogen energy demonstration city,\" as well as for the provincial initiative to introduce hydrogen technology to households across the province.
