On April 26, reporters learned from the Yichang Development and Reform Commission that in 2020, Yichang plans to carry out 146 key projects at the provincial and municipal levels, with a total investment of 235.228 billion yuan. To date, the resumption rate for key provincial and municipal projects scheduled to resume work has reached 100%. After Yichang pressed the \"restart button\" for economic activities, our city gave priority to resuming work on **provincial key projects, major industrial projects, major infrastructure projects, seasonal construction projects, and those that involve a relatively small number of workers. Over the past month, progress has been made in the accelerated construction of 34 advanced manufacturing projects, including the Yichang Renuo Baiyang active pharmaceutical ingredient production base and Sanning’s plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of ethylene glycol; 15 modern service industry projects such as the Guan Gong Culture Town; 34 infrastructure projects including the Baiyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge; 6 ecological and environmental protection projects involving the renovation of the area from the Bailing River entrance to the ancient battlefields in Xiaoting along the Yangtze River bank; and 12 social welfare projects related to the redevelopment of the area along South Ring Road in Yichang. Yichang’s key relocation project – the 10 billion yuan investment EPG project of Sanning Company – was reborn amidst such challenges. At present, the project has fully entered the equipment installation phase, with the goal of completing construction and starting trial production in July. Focusing on key products such as phosphorus chemicals, coal-based chemicals, silicon materials, and fluorine-based new materials, Yichang’s chemical industry is moving toward higher levels of sophistication, precision, sustainability, greenness, and internationalization. On March 26 and April 24, Yichang City held centralized project commencement ceremonies in Zhijiang and Yidu respectively, marking the start of construction on 40 projects with a total investment of nearly 30 billion yuan. Among them, the high-end active pharmaceutical ingredient production base project of Shanghai Hui Lun Hubei Pharmaceutical Company, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, was signed during the generic drug forum last year and construction began within less than 6 months.
