Construction of the ring wall foundations for the storage tanks in the intermediate tank area of Yulin Chemical Company’s ethylene glycol project is now complete. On June 14, the concrete for the ring wall foundation of the last storage tank in the intermediate tank area of this project was successfully poured, marking the completion of the construction tasks related to the ring wall foundations of all 23 storage tanks in that area three days ahead of schedule. The civil construction of the intermediate tank area for the ethylene glycol project was carried out by the Infrastructure Division of Donghua Technology. For the construction of the ring wall foundation in this intermediate tank area, a total of 230 tons of reinforcement was fabricated and installed, 2490 cubic meters of concrete was poured, and 7565 square meters of formwork was fabricated and installed. The intermediate tank area is mainly used for the temporary storage of intermediate products. This tank area covers an area of approximately 97.35 mu, and it houses a total of 23 storage tanks, of which 12 are located in the ethylene glycol intermediate tank area and 11 are in the DMO intermediate tank area ； The largest tank has a capacity of 8,000 m3 and a diameter of 26.5 m ； The minimum storage tank capacity is 300 m3, with a diameter of 6.5m. Next, the project team will carry out layered backfilling of the storage tank foundation filler in accordance with professional technical requirements, to ensure the quality of the foundation filler layer and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent welding and construction of the tank itself. To date, the excavation for the foundations of the ethylene glycol intermediate tank area and DMO intermediate tank area pump houses, as well as those of the internal pipe galleries, has been completed.
