As of November 16, the construction of the purification unit’s refrigeration station building and compressor base, the gas separation unit’s compressor building and PSA compressor base, the main structure of the liquid sulfur tank in the sulfur processing unit, the framework for sulfur recovery along with its pipeline foundations, and the distillation framework for the methanol production unit was all completed as planned. It is reported that the methanol distillation framework represents the largest structural component of a methanol plant; a total of 42 foundation columns were poured, 585 anchor bolts were embedded, and 168 cubic meters of concrete was used in this construction. This time, a large number of bolts were used in the construction of the distillation frame, making it difficult to make adjustments and verifications. The project team provided guidance to the construction unit throughout the entire process, from the design briefing and drawing reviews to the construction phase itself, and even up to the concrete pouring stage, which ensured the successful completion of this foundation construction. The pouring of the pipe galleries for the sulfur unit, the foundations for the sulfur recovery framework, and the main structure of the liquid sulfur tank has been completed, marking the finish of the main civil engineering foundation work for the sulfur unit. The project team received the foundation drawings for the equipment to be installed, sent by the company’s design department, and actively coordinated with the construction party regarding the construction plan, striving to complete the construction of those foundations by the end of November. 02 Pouring of the methyl acetate hydrogenation reactor frame completed On November 15, the pouring of the framework for the methyl acetate hydrogenation reactor, which is one of the key components of the ethanol production facility in this project, was completed, marking another significant step toward meeting the annual civil engineering targets. It is reported that the first layer of this framework is made of reinforced concrete, and it serves to support the core equipment of the system, namely the methyl acetate hydrogenation reactor. The total height of the framework is 6.5 meters, with a total weight of around 401 tons. The thickness of the main support beams is 1.6 meters; the amount of steel used is approximately 62 tons, while the volume of concrete poured is 145 cubic meters. The successful pouring of the hydrogenation reactor frame this time has boosted the team’s confidence in completing the other two frames as well. Currently, the project team is focusing its efforts on tasks such as final bolt positioning and mold closing, to ensure that the pouring of the main framework structure is completed before winter.
