Launch and Mobilization Meeting for the EPCC Project on Energy-Saving Technology Upgrades for Gasification at Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. Author/Source: Refining & Chemical Industry Updates Date: 2021-03-11 Clicks: 13 On March 9, a launch and mobilization meeting was held for the EPCC project aimed at upgrading the energy-saving technology for gasification at Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Co., Ltd.; Xie Quanfu, the company’s vice general manager, Hu Sibin, the vice chief engineer, Yin Lin, the head of the project team, and all members of the project team attended the meeting. The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the project from aspects such as technology, security, quality, schedule, cost, and overall management. It focused on analyzing the key challenges and difficulties during the project implementation process, and proposed corresponding measures and principles. The Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Project is an important initiative by Hunan Light Salt Group and Xiangyu Salt Chemical to implement the concept that \"lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,\" to promote the development of ecological civilization, and to create a green Yangtze River Economic Belt. The implementation of this project will also further strengthen Wuhuan Company’s leading position in the fields of modern coal chemical industry and nitrogen fertilizers.
The gasification energy-saving technology upgrade project of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. is located at plot B10-05/04 in the Longbao Tuantuan IV management unit of Chongqing Wanzhou Salt-Gas Chemical Park (an open area to the south of the company’s existing factory). An investment of 1.5 billion yuan will be made to upgrade the existing gasification facilities in this open area to the south of the factory; the project will utilize two Jinhua furnaces, with a gasification pressure of 6.5 MPaG and a total gas flow rate of 80,000 Nm3/h (CO+H2), thereby replacing the existing atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed gasification system.
