The second waste alkali solution blending system at Yan’an Energy Chemical Company of Yanchang Petroleum was successfully put into operation. Author/Source: Yan’an Energy Chemical Company, Yanchang Petroleum. Date: February 8, 2021. Clicks: 7. After 18 days of relentless efforts, on the evening of February 6, the second waste alkali solution blending system at the Thermal Power Center of Yan’an Energy Chemical Company was successfully brought online. Since the first set of waste alkali solution treatment equipment was put into use on January 19, it has performed well, delivering good environmental and economic benefits. To meet the normal production requirements of the facility, the company has decided to build a second set of such equipment for mixing waste alkali solutions into the combustion process. During this period, the Thermoelectric Power Center organized everything carefully, allocated construction materials in a timely manner, and assigned dedicated personnel to oversee the construction process. The Party member task force of the center stayed at the site throughout the day to ensure construction safety. Leveraging the experience gained from operating the first set of units, the commissioning tasks such as airtightness testing, flushing, and pressure testing were completed in just 1 day, enabling the successful operation of this unit. It is reported that once the two co-combustion systems are put into operation, they are expected to be able to process 45,000 tons of waste alkaline solution per year. This will reduce the operational burden on the wastewater treatment facilities in the southern area, while also saving a significant amount of costs associated with the treatment of waste alkaline solution.
