Ceremony for Signing Contract and Commencing Construction of New Type Powder Coal Gasification Furnace by Yankuang Lunan Chemical Industry Held Author/Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals Date: 2021-03-21 Clicks: 5 On March 20, the ceremony for signing the contract and starting the construction of the 3,000-ton/day new type powder coal gasification furnace as part of Yankuang Lunan Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s industrial demonstration project for developing this technology was held in Chengdu. Zhang Ling, General Manager of Yankuang Lunan Chemical Co., Ltd., and Zou Jun, Deputy General Manager of Dongfang Boiler Chemical Nuclear Power Equipment Engineering Company, the contractor, signed the contract on behalf of both parties. Ren Yi, advisor to Shandong Energy Group and Party secretary and chairman of Yankuang Chemical Company; Jin Junjie, chief engineer of Yankuang Chemical; Li Zhonghua, head of the Technical Engineering Department; Gao Xianguo, deputy general manager of Lunan Chemical; Sun Xinghui, chief mechanic; Wu Yongguo, chief engineer of the Water-Coal Slurry Gasification Center; Pan Rong, deputy general manager of Guotuo Company; Wang Jinseng, deputy general manager of Dongfang Boiler Co., Ltd. under Dongfang Electric Group; Li Hong, deputy general manager of Dongfang Boiler Chemical and Nuclear Power Equipment Engineering Company; as well as relevant leaders from East China University of Science and Technology and China Tianchen Engineering Corporation, attended the signing ceremony and the kick-off meeting. The industrial demonstration project for the development of a new 3,000 tons/day oMB powder coal gasification technology by Yankuang Lunan Chemical Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 2,533,248,900 yuan; it is located within the premises of Yankuang Lunan Chemical Co., Ltd. in the Lunan High-Tech Chemical Park. The project uses coal as raw material and employs a new type of counter-flow multi-nozzle powder gasification technology with a capacity of 3,000 tons per day to produce syngas, which is then integrated into the plant’s syngas network. Additional units such as shift reactors, low-temperature methanol washing systems, liquid nitrogen washing units, and ammonia synthesis plants are installed to produce 600,000 tons of liquid ammonia per year. In addition, the deep-cold separation technology from the old plant is utilized, along with pressure swing absorption, to make use of the excess CO gas for the technical upgrade of the acetic acid production facility, thereby increasing the acetic acid production capacity by 200,000 tons per year; other auxiliary facilities are also installed as part of this setup. Shandong Energy Group has planned and deployed a 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project in Yulin, as well as an 800,000 tons per year coal-to-olefins project and a 5 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project in Xinjiang. The 3,000 tons per day OMB new-type pulverized coal gasification industrial demonstration project carried out by Lunan Chemical serves as a pilot project for Shandong Energy Group’s western development initiatives, aiming to provide models and accumulate experience for the on-site conversion and clean, efficient utilization of low-grade and low-quality coal in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang regions.
