At 00:50 on April 6, the initial trial operation of the desalination station at Yulin Chemical’s Auxiliary Projects Department was successful, with qualified desalinated water being produced for the first time, indicating that the station now has full capacity for desalination. This raw water treatment desalination system uses multi-media filters, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, mixed-bed reactors, and double-bed reactors to treat raw water into qualified desalinated water that meets the standards for boiler feedwater. The raw water treatment capacity of this facility is 2,300 m3/h, and once it is fully operational, the annual water production volume will reach 19.87 million tons. As of the time of writing, the water output from the device is stable and meets the standards. To ensure the smooth commissioning of this equipment, the Public Auxiliary Engineering Project Department, in collaboration with equipment manufacturers, construction units, supervision agencies, and other technical professionals, carefully controlled every stage of the process. From plan formulation and process control to goal achievement, the procedures were carried out strictly in accordance with the commissioning plan. The entire commissioning process was conducted in a systematic, orderly, safe, and reliable manner, allowing for the successful completion of tasks such as individual equipment testing, as well as the purging, cleaning, pressurization, defect correction, and debugging of storage tanks and pipelines, within a relatively short period of time. As a key component of the public auxiliary facilities construction project, the demineralized water station is also an essential part of the 180-ton/year ethylene glycol production facility. Its successful commissioning will facilitate the proper startup of the boilers, while also providing a solid foundation for the smooth operation of the main equipment later on.
